AVERICOM Celebrates McCormick's Emmy Award

AVERICOM, a full service Internet media development agency, is pleased to announce that the company’s Director of Media Services, Melissa McCormick, won an Emmy Award on Saturday, September 28th.The Emmy Award solidifies why Peter Bowman, founder of AVERICOM, chose Ms. McCormick to lead its Media Services Division. “Ms. McCormick is a skilled producer, writer, reporter and journalist who now applies her expertise to many video projects at AVERICOM. She produces DocuShow, an online video program featuring companies with exciting products and services. Her talent is indicative of the caliber of people at AVERICOM.”

McCormick received the Emmy Award for her feature, “Keeping Kids Alive with the Sound of Music,” that she produced at WPMT before joining AVERICOM in May of this year. The piece highlights a program in York, Pennsylvania, that gives kids the opportunity to improve themselves through dance.

In addition to her 2009 Emmy Award, McCormick also received an Emmy nomination in 2008 in the “Spot News” category for her coverage of the South Queen Street Fire in York, PA.
